Basically, the Generator is designed to lead a happy, fulfilling life when they let life show up for them, as opposed to going out and making life happen. Generators, and all types who must wait, do well to set an intention and then wait for evidence in their outer reality that it is time to take action and that the direction is correct. If you have a defined Sacral motor you are designed to wait for things to show up. This can be very difficult because that Sacral energy hums and buzzes and is just longing to do something.
It can guide you in conversations and decisions within the relationship, providing real-time insights into what is correct for you. Yes, even in complexity, the sacral response can guide you towards what is correct for you. It might require breaking down complex decisions into simpler yes-no questions. Trust develops through consistent practice and observation.
It’s designed to solve problems and use logic along your path. It’s about allowing the right opportunities to present themselves and trusting in your sacral responses to guide you. Also, be gentle with yourself when things don’t go as planned.
Also, keep in mind that discerning these gut feelings from mental chatter can take practice. Over time, however, you’ll become better at distinguishing between the two and learning to trust your gut. But first, you must be in your body to experience or notice your unique gut response.

As a Generator, your energy is one of your greatest assets. Learning to manage this energy effectively can significantly influence your decision-making. Well, if this applies to you then you’re a Generator or Manifesting Generator, so think about your strategy. Essentially, the hierarchy applies as usual, but always in tandem with your Sacral response, which reveals your inner truth.
Balance your responsive energy with the guidance of your Sacral Authority to make well-rounded decisions. As a Human Design Generator, you’re designed to respond to the world around you. Understanding and embracing this responsive nature can lead to decisions that are more aligned with your true self and ultimately, more satisfying.
Then, as you get better at discerning the way your authority or Sacral Center communicates YES or NO to you, start posing questions to yourself. Often it’s better for you to wait until the last minute to make a decision. While other authority types do better with time, you thrive when you’re put in the moment. They are the only type with no defined centers in your Human Design chart – but that doesn’t mean you have no guidance in your life. Like Mental Projectors, your authority is external, but unlike them yours comes from being profoundly in tune with the cycles of the moon. This knowledge grants us insight into our own energy centers, allowing us to recognize how best to use them.
Most of these beliefs are NOT true; they are merely approximations you chose to believe about yourself in order to feel safe and accepted earlier in life. This is something all humans do and it’s nothing to be ashamed about. But, bringing awareness to this fact can help you begin to choose newly. And, if you say Yes to too many things that are NOT correct for you, you’ll end up burning out.
What this means is that even with a different authority, all Generators and MG’s benefit from the powerful energetic gut response that comes from having a defined Sacral. Remember, there’s a hierarchy of defined energy centers to determine authority type. In Human Design we all have either inner or outer authority, dependent upon which of our energy centers are defined, undefined, or open.
